Grief Informed Doula Work: A Trauma Perspective
November 7, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EST
$20.00

Doulas serve as a critical system of support for clients and families. In working from this lens we can create spaces for our clients informed environments that help mitigate the impacts of trauma and grief.
There are overlaps in trauma-informed and grief-informed approaches. Both approaches acknowledge that the person experiencing trauma and/or grief is embedded within a sociocultural context in which the trauma or loss has taken place.
Grief-informed approaches recognize the inevitability of loss, and the individuality of each loss relative to the relationship and circumstances surrounding it.
In this webinar we will explore the importance of meeting at the intersection of grief and trauma so support our clients through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and loss.
Event date:Â November 7th @ 1PM-2:30PM EST
Total cost of webinar:Â $20, donated to The Indigenous Foundation.
Due to the sensitive nature of this webinar, and to ensure a safe space, this webinar will not be recorded.
